On the heels of those lackluster X-Men: First Class character posters, 20th Century Fox has debuted a new photo of Lucas Till as the plasma wave-generating Alex Summers/Havok, via the movie's Facebook page.
The 19-year-old Till, who's best known as the cowboy hat-wearing beau in Hannah Montana: The Movie, can be seen this week in Battle: Los Angeles. Although in Marvel comics Alex Summer is the hot-headed younger brother of Cyclops, in First Class their relationship will be ... different (the prequel is set in the 1960s, decades before Fox's previous X-Men movies).
“It wouldn’t physically fit for him to be the brother of Cyclops," Producer Bryan Singer told Hero Complex last month. "We take some liberties on that. There are notions, but, um, I don’t want to give away certain interrelations, but let’s just say there are some things that do adhere to the comic books and do so in a way the fans will get a kick out of. And those things can, perhaps, move forward into the future.”
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, X-Men: First Class also stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Henry McCoy/Beast, Caleb Landry Jones as Sean Cassidy/Banshee, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Oliver Platt as the Man in Black, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggart and Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore. It opens on June 3.
