Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia has some of the most complex costumes we have ever seen, with tons of head dresses, makeup, and different fabrics and silhouettes. For most of us, that would probably mean avoiding cosplaying these characters like the plague, since it is no doubt a great deal of work to put these outfits together.

But for a lot of cosplayers, it’s just the next welcome challenge, and their skills with a sewing machine and makeup definitely have not disappointed us. Here are 10 amazing Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia cosplays that look like they have jumped right out of the anime.

10 Quetzalcoatl & Gilgamesh (Photo by hideki_cosplay_)

We’re coming right out the gate with some pretty intense looks. This Gilgamesh by hideki_cosplay_ has all of the cunning and playful looks we’ve come to expect of him, made even more intense with the use of makeup to make his eyes seem longer and narrower. The wig is also perfectly capturing the shape of Gilgamesh’s hair. But Quetzalcoatl is really catching our eye here with that incredible headdress.

The details are so exact, and it’s clear that this was a serious labor of love. She also got the hairline of the character just right, with her hair laying in perfect waves around the headdress.

9 Quetzalcoatl, Ishtar, & Gilgamesh (Photo by hideki_cosplay_)

The Gilgamesh and Quetzalcoatl from our first entry are also represented here, in their full outsides, so we’re able to see all of the amazing details of their costumes and props. But they’re also here with Ishtar, who has done an equally remarkable job getting the details of this costume down just right.

The fabric must have been handmade, since it’s a perfect match to Ishtar’s kimono in the series. Plus, the accessories in her hair and the black boots and gloves show that she paid a lot of attention to all of the little things that make this look so cool.

8 Gilgamesh & Enkidu (Photo by citric.shark)

Here we have another cosplay of Gilgamesh, only this time he’s wearing another pretty impressive outfit. The cosplayer really drilled down into all of the details of this one, making sure to get the armor on the pants just right, as well as the sharpness of the giant gold statement necklace that he wears.

We also really love the golden gloves that make him seem powerful and ready for action. Enkidu too feels very authentic, in the simple flowing white gown that seems to move just like in the anime, along with a green wig cut just right.

7 Merlin (by blackmoon.chan)

Merlin might not have a septum piercing in the series, but we’ll let it slide since the rest of this look is so spot on. We really can’t get over the wig in this one, because Merlin’s hair is such a particular shade of purple/gray that seems like it would be really hard to get right, but this cosplayer has nailed it.

The costume itself is also so cool. Merlin’s outfit is all details, with lots of intricate uses of color to make his otherwise fairly straightforward robes into something really interesting. This cosplayer has managed to get all of those little spots of color and shapes perfect here.

6 Enkidu & Gilgamesh (Photo by Naxsnaps)

This is a popular set of characters to cosplay together and for good reason, since they have a contentious relationship. Here we see two cosplayers dressed as Enkidu and Gilgamesh, ready to get to fighting. Gilgamesh, who appears above with a different cosplayer posing as Enkidu, now has a really incredible well made weapon.

It has awesome shiny gold paint as well as tons of intricately painted details that must have taken ages to put together. He also wears chains around his wrists and a gold scarf around his neck, adding to all of the cool details that make this character's design really work.

5 Enkidu (By lefragoline)

We really love the simplicity of the Enkidu costume compared to a lot of the other characters. But that doesn’t stop cosplayers from creating really authentic looks out of it. This cosplayer has managed to make a really loose, flowing gown, with the dark belt that adds a bit of contrast to the costume.

We’re really impressed with the shape of the wig, since Enkidu has hairs that are shorter around the sides of her face, which this cosplayer has managed to pull off. The staff is also really impressive, looking almost like its speared end would actually hurt.

4 The Whole Squad (Photo by Sakoponin)

Look, all of these cosplays have been really impressive, and we love a lone cosplayer getting it together and making something awesome. But we just can’t resist when a big group of cosplayers all work together to cosplay characters from the same series.

Here is an entire group of characters from Fate/Grand Order: BabyloniaThere are so many amazing things going on here, with the detailing on all of the cosplays impeccably done. The fact that they’re together as a group makes all of their looks even more incredible, since they’re all holding up next to one another.

3 Enkidu At Rest (By ari.anna13_)

Cosplay would be nothing without cosplay photography, and as far as we’re concerned, the more dramatic, the better. Here, Enkidu has clearly been struck down and has fallen into the arms of Gilgamesh. It’s a really amazing photo with such diligent cosplay work that it barely looks like cosplay at all. Both of the cosplayers look like they’ve just held still for a shot on a movie set.

Enkidu’s wig looks professionally made, almost as if it’s her own hair, and the jewelry on Gilgamesh seems like they could all be made of actual gold. We’re giving this one an A+ on production design as well as costume work since the backdrop of red light on brick makes this whole thing look so much moodier and more awesome.

2 Ishtar As A Maid (By bbykaiiri)

We really take a Cardcaptor Sakura approach to how we feel about anime: If there are a million outfits you could be wearing, why would you choose just the most basic one? With that in mind, we love this Ishtar cosplay.

This cosplayer, bbykaiiri, has chosen to recreate Ishtar’s maid cafe outfit, which is so cute and super recognizable to big fans of the series. She even makes a point to wear dark red contacts to really sell the Ishtar look. And the adorable ice cream sundae on a platter makes it seem like she’s really ready to serve us.

1 Gilgamesh & His Harem (By Luno_0)

We know we’ve done a lot of Gilgamesh cosplay in this list, but this one really takes the cake. This cosplay has so much going for it. The details on the fabric and the way it lays on his body makes it seem authentic to a Roman king, and the jewelry all looks like it could be made from real gold.

We are really impressed with the shape of the wig and the subtle makeup used to give him a very particular profile, making him look very kingly and classical.
