Despite recent rumors that original "Thor" director Kenneth Branagh was in talks to return to the franchise, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige says that's just inaccurate speculation.

"Not true," Feige told Collider when asked about Branacg's potential return during an "Ant-Man" press visit. "I don't know where that came from."

However, don't expect the third film, titled "Thor: Ragnarok," to remain unhelmed for too much longer. Feige says he expects an announcement to be made "probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. May be the same person, I don't know, may be two different people."

For his part, Branagh said that he wouldn't mind returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe someday. "I fondly remember good times working on Thor,'" the director told The Hollywood Reporter, months before the current rumor began to spread. "So you always look to repeat that kind of thing, and if it happened again, I'd be delighted."

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to arrive in theaters July 28, 2017.
