Marvel Studios has made quite the name for themselves over the last decade, and yet, their latest film, Black Panther, has been cited as the best Marvel film to date, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige seems to agree.

Ahead of the film's theatrical release, Feige, along with director Ryan Coogler, and cast mates Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira sat down with ABC News to discuss the film's importance. The film, which comes at a time when fans are demanding more diversity from Hollywood, is on track to break records at the box office this weekend, with a $225 million four-day weekend total now likely. That's an impressive feat for the studio's 18th feature, and according to Feige, Black Panther may have just set the bar for future films. As he told ABC News, "The movie finished and I looked over at Ryan and I said, ‘That’s the best movie we’ve ever made.’"

Feige isn't alone in his thinking, of course. Following the film's premiere, many took to social media to quickly deem the film Marvel's best flick to date. And while there may be some that don't agree with this, the overall consensus seems to be that Coogler and company have set the new standard going forward. As of right now, a sequel has yet to be officially announced, however, Feige has confirmed he hopes to bring the acclaimed director back for any potential sequel.
