AMC's Fear the Walking Dead finds a surprising new use for walkers.
In a teaser promo for Season 6, Episode 11, "The Holding," a quick glimpse is shown of a new group using walkers as a fertilizer for an underground community garden.
In the clip, Alycia Debnam-Carey, who portrays Alicia Clark in Fear the Walking Dead, tells fans, "This episode is very exciting. There's a whole new group with a whole bunch of crazy new stuff, that we haven't seen before. And even though it seems like everyone is flourishing, there seems to be something quite off about it."
As Alycia describes the new underground community to fans, quick shots are shown of zombies being grounded up into soil-like matter, then showing new soil being added to rows and rows of plant boxes. The new group is then seen cutting up a variety of vegetables, but Alicia Clark isn't convinced that everything is as well as it seems.
The promo clip closes with Alicia setting something (or someone) ablaze, after declaring that she's not believing the new group's "bullshit" that they're selling.
In January, AMC announced that the latter nine episodes of Fear the Walking Dead's sixth season would be adding several cast members, including John Glover, Nick Stahl, Keith Carradine and Aisha Taylor. Additionally, it was revealed that Tyler (Criminal Minds, Roswell, New Mexico) will direct May 16's Fear the Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 13, "J.D."
Although filming was halted previously due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Season 6 is still slated to run for a total of 16 episodes on the AMC network.

An infiltration turns rescue mission as members of the group dig deeper into an underground community.
Fear the Walking Dead stars Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Maggie Grace, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Austin Amelio, Mo Collins, Alexa Nisenson, Karen David, Colby Hollman, Zoe Colletti, Jenna Elfman and Rubén Blades. New episodes air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on AMC.
