AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead will introduce a new character for Season 6 who will help humanize and dimensionalize one of the series' villains.

During Comic-Con@Home, Fear the Walking Dead creators and cast members teased several new characters who would shake up the spinoff, presenting challenges for the main heroes and an unlikely exploration into one of the series' villains, Virginia, played by The Boys and Jessica Jones' Colby Minifie.

"There are a number of new characters and with each new character on the show, they open up whole new worlds," executive producer Scott M. Gimple explained. "One of the characters opens up a whole new side to Virginia, and that’s her little sister, Dakoda."

Dakoda, played by newcomer Zoe Colletti, known for her roles in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Annie, joins the main cast in a pivotal role. Gimple said Dakoda introduces a new side of vulnerability to Virginia, providing viewers with more insight into her motivations. "Ms. Colletti is a brilliant actor," he said, "and seeing her with Colby is really, really good stuff. It's scary and fun."

Virginia was introduced in the Season 5 episode "Leave What You Don’t." The leader of a group of hostile survivors known as the Pioneers, Virginia serves as a major antagonist in the second half of Season 5 continuing into the first half of Season 6. She and her group are notable for being the first villains in the show to appear as major antagonists in two consecutive seasons. Season 5 ends with the main characters being forced apart by Virginia and the Pioneers across their multiple settlements.
