Just before the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "Cowboys & Aliens" director Jon Favreau interrupted Harrison Ford's interview with USA Today to ask one particular question: When are we going to see "Cowboys & Aliens 2?" In response, the startled Ford throws Favreau a time.

"Did you change your number again?" Favreau jokes asks as he steps away.

"Yes, and I'm going to go back to change it again," Ford responds.

While we're not so sure "Cowboys & Aliens" is going to get that sequel Favreau is talking about, we do know "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be followed by an as-yet-untitled "Star Wars: Episode VIII."

Directed by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” stars franchise veterans Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker, joined by newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow.

The film will be released wide Dec. 16 in France, Dec. 17 in the United Kingdom and Dec. 18 in North America.
