A new novel will adapt the events of Fate: The Winx Saga for young adult readers.
Fate: The Winx Saga: The Fairies' Path will retell the events of the first season of Fate: The Winx Saga. Author Ava Corrigan penned the novel, which follows the adventures of the fairy Bloom and her friends as they attend Alfea College to hone their mystic powers and battle the creatures known as the Burned Ones.
Fate: The Winx Saga is based on the Winx Club animated series, which aired on Nickelodeon beginning in 2004 and lasted for over 200 episodes -- even spawning a revival series in 2011. The Vampire Diaries' Brian Young developed Fate: The Winx Saga for Netflix and served as showrunner and executive producer on the series. Prior to and upon its debut, Fate: The Winx Saga received a mixed reception and criticism for its casting choices and general aesthetic. There is currently no word on whether Netflix intends to renew the series for a second season.
At the Alfea International School, students come from all over the Otherworld to train and learn how to control their magic. When five strangers are assigned as roommates, they’ll have to master their powers – and differences – in record time to confront the dark forces that threaten the school.
