Netflix unveiled a scintillating new trailer for the highly-anticipated Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2.

The new footage chronicles the continued adventures of Bloom and her friends as they return to Alfea College having destroyed the Burned Ones. Yet while their victory has allowed magic to flourish around the campus, new dangers are rearing their heads that could threaten the entire school. Bloom, Musa, Terra, Stella and Aisha must once again work together to stop this sinister threat before it grows too powerful and spreads across the entirety of Otherworld.

While plot details of Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 remain scarce, the new chapter will introduce a character that many fans have been begging for. Flora, one of the core fairies from the original animated series, will be making her long-awaited debut. Played by Paulina Chávez, the fan-favorite Guardian Fairy of Nature is known for her sage-like advice and ability to concoct potions to assist her friends in times of distress. A previous clip demonstrated that Flora already has a strong relationship with Terra but it's currently unknown how their dynamic will grow over the course of Season 2.

Fate showrunner Brian Young promised fans that the creative team still has plenty of stories to tell in the series' fantastical universe, noting that Season 2 will serve as a deeper dive into the characters and their relationships. "The six episodes in Season 1 only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it," Young said. "As Bloom's story continues to evolve, I can't wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra and Musa."

Winx creator Ignio Straffi echoed Young's sentiments, noting that Netflix's version of the beloved series has only helped boost the franchise's popularity. "Winx connects with audiences in the live-action adaptation the same way it does in animation," Straffi said. "Over the years, we have seen Winx grow into a global phenomenon and millions of fans have faithfully followed the show."

Fate: The Winx Saga stars Abigail Cowen, Hannah Van Der Westhuysen, Precious Mustapha, Eliot Salt, Elisha Applebaum, Paulina Chávez. Season 2 was directed by Lisa James Larsson, Hannah Quinn, and Stephen Woolfenden. The next batch of episodes premieres on Netflix on Sept. 16.
