Ever since Studio DEEN's adaptation of Fate/Stay Night, the Fate franchise has taken the anime world by storm to even be able to compete with bigger franchises. Only bringing out bigger and better things since then, there have been anime based on the other routes of the original visual novel, as well as other supplementary stories that take place in the same or alternate universes.

At the moment, the only thing bigger than the bags of money Type-Moon takes home from all of the derivations of their visual novel is the number of fans they have the world over. Their story of swords and sorcery in the modern age has captured the minds and hearts of many people. Including those who love to cosplay!

10 Saber By Calssara

Via calssara.com

The Knight. The King. One of the best all-around servants. It is hard to talk about Fate without mentioning Artoria. She is the face of the franchise, after all, so she is partly responsible for why so many people love it. This King of Knights has served as an inspiration for many cosplayers.

In this entry, Calssara shows one of the many reasons why Artoria and the cosplayer are so popular. She looks absolutely gorgeous dressed as Saber in her knightly gowns. The outfit perfect overall, it really shines in how she made the armor look so realistic. As if the character jumped out of the screen and asked for her cut of the money they made.

9 Gilgamesh By Pallas P

Speaking about armor and money, check this guy out! Gilgamesh is the main antagonist of most of the routes in Fate/Stay Night. If you cannot pick him out of a crowd by his cocky attitude alone then the next best bet is looking for his Golden Suit of armor.

Pallas P probably got a lot of attention at the event they took this cosplay too. He did much to make the outfit shine just like in the anime and the considerable effort put into styling their hair and eyebrows to look like the King of Heroes is well worth some admiration. The character might be a bit of an ass, but the cosplay is on point!

8 Kirei Kotomine By 青春

Where Gilgamesh is, Kirei Kotomine isn't too far behind. His Master in the fourth and fifth Grail Wars, these two are almost inseparable ever since they made a pact in Fate/Zero. These two peas in the pod are terrible people that all others should avoid at all costs. It is no wonder they (somewhat) get along.

Though, this cosplayer makes being terrible look good. 青春 cosplays the wayward priest to perfect fidelity in the photo. The humble appearance combined with that scheming gaze serves as a true testament to how well they know the character.

7 Mecha Saber By Discalibur

Via instagram.com/discaliber/

Let me answer some questions about this cosplay right off the bat. Yes, that is Saber. Yes, it is also a mecha. Yes, it is, in fact, the combination of both of those things. Most importantly of all...no, those are not just effects added to the picture, the whole cosplay does light up like that. Anything else?

With that out of the way, let's simply admire this piece of art by Discalibur. It is always great to see interpretations of the character that are far and beyond what the anime offers and Discalibur stole the show with this one. This appeared to be a passion project for the cosplayer.

6 Caster By BadAsh Cos

Via instagram.com/badashcos

Caster is the most magical Servant of the Holy Grail War. While far from the strongest Servant in the series, she has plenty of tricks to help her come out on top and no compulsion against fighting unfairly or sacrificing others for her goals. That magic she wields from the Age of Heroes is much more powerful and versatile than what is available to modern mages.

Maybe BadAsh Cos used some of that magic to recreate Caster's outfit. While the rest of the outfit is about spot on, what really draws the attention are the magic runes she bothered to draw onto her cape. Truly magical, if I have to say so myself!

5 Lancer By Phil Mizuno

Via twitter.com/phil_mizuno

Who's a good boy?!~ Who's a good boy?!~ By far Lancer is one of the best boys in Fate/Stay Night. Powerful but laid back, aloof but loyal, Lancer never really got the chance to shine as one of the main Servants in the series. But whenever he did show up, it always made an impact.

Phil Mizuno is a picture-perfect version of Cú Chulainn. He not only excels at costume making but at the skillful use of makeup to make him look more like the character in question.

4 Rin By Shiro Cosplay

Here is a bit of a throwback. Studio Ufotable's Unlimited Blade Works not only upgraded the animation of the Fate/Stay Night adaptation before it but also gave a few of the characters some updated outfits to go along with the fancy new graphics. While she looks great in her new duds, there is something to be said about Rin's classic outfit.

And the thing to say is that it still looks great. It is a simple outfit, with no more than four or five pieces to it but it is still an iconic look for the character. Shiro Cosplay giving us a great look at the classic outfit.

3 Archer By Chrono Cosplay

Via deviantart.com/chrono-cosplay

Along with Lancer, one of the most popular boys in Fate/Stay Night is the Wrought Iron Hero, Emiya. While no more than a version of Shirou from a possible future, his experience has given him a cool and collected aura that draws fans to him. If that doesn't get them, Emiya has a variety of powerful abilities he can steal from other great heroes.

Even if he is one of the most versatile heroes in the franchise, Archer still has his favorites. Twin blades Kanshou and Bakuya, two swords that took the life of the blacksmith's wife who forged them, are two of his favorite blades. Chrono Cosplay showing them off in an action pose with the excellent Archer cosplay he made.

2 Dark Sakura By 七七兒

She might be a new face for some people. Unless they have been keeping up with the latest Heaven's Feel movies, they might not realize that this is a form of Sakura Matou.

Needless to say, there is something different about the girl. She has a lot of dark secrets to hide and 七七兒 shows a few of them in her picture. The cosplayer participating in what looks to be a dark dance of insanity where there might be no coming back from. The Room as twisted as Sakura's psyche.

1 Rider By Kikyo Mazaki

Via worldcosplay.net/member/49300

We were talking about best boys but let's start talking about the best girl (this claim is the express view of the writer and in no way reflects CBR's general opinion). While plenty of the characters in Fate/Stay Night could qualify for the best girl, you will find none more loyal than Rider.

It is a secret until the final route of the visual novel, but Rider is actually Sakura's servant. Shinji is only acting as a stand-in because she doesn't want to fight in the war. Rider then dedicating her every action to protect her. Kikyo Mazaki giving a good look at the most loyal Servant in the Fifth Holy Grail War in a mid-action pose that even has her hair defying gravity.
