Fate/Grand Order Final Singularity - Grand Temple of Time: Solomon premiered in Japan last year, and now it is on its way to Funimation.
While the announcement from Funimation confirmed that the latest installment in the Fate/Grand Order series will be available on the platform, it did not reveal an official release date. Grand Temple of Time: Solomon sees protagonists Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight battle the King of Mages in an ultimate test of heroism and the climactic culmination of their adventures so far.
The Fate/Grand Order series is based on the mobile game of the same name by Delightworks. The game was originally released in Japan in July 2015 and in North America in June 2017, and combines turned-based combat and the format of visual novels. As of October 2018, the game had been downloaded over 32 million times and had earned a total revenue of over $4 billion by the end of 2019.
Toshifumi Akai, who also directed Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, directed Grand Temple of Time: Solomon at studio CloverWorks. Several other members of the movie's creative team previously worked on other entries in the Fate series like character designer Tomoaki Takase (Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia), composer Keita Haga (Fate/Grand Carnival) and animation director Yurie Hama (Fate/Apocrypha).
Many voice actors reprised their roles for Grand Temple of Time: Solomon, including Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ritsuka, Rie Takahashi as Mash, Maaya Sakamoto as Leonardo Da Vinci and Jeanne d'Arc, Miyuki Sawashiro as Mordred and Florence Nightingale, Kenichi Suzumura as Romani Archaman and Yu Kobayashi as Enkidu. Tomokazu Sugita, who played Lev Lainur in Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom, joins the cast as the titular King of Mages.
Fate/Grand Order Final Singularity - Grand Temple of Time: Solomon is just one of the anime titles making its way onto Funimation. The streaming service recently revealed that an English dub of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba's "Mugen Train" arc will premiere on the platform on Jan. 21. The dub's cast includes Zack Aguilar (The Seven Deadly Sins) as protagonist Tanjiro, Abby Trott (Super Crooks) as Nezuko and Bryce Papenbrook (Attack on Titan) as Inosuke. Funimation is also airing the debuts of Sabikui Bisco and My Dress-Up Darling as part of its current anime season.
While Fate/Grand Order fans outside of Japan will have to wait a little longer to see Grand Temple of Time: Solomon, they can revisit some of Ritsuka and Mash's other adventures by streaming Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia and Fate/Grand Order: First Order, which are currently available on the streaming service.
