Attacks in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are known for their power and eccentric properties. While the Stand Stats highlight speed as a metric, sometimes those stats can be confusing or misleading. According to Stand Stats, Golden Experience Requiem contains no stats. However, almost every fan will agree that Gold Experience Requiem is the strongest Stand in the entire franchise.
Additionally, abilities that stop or remove time can't be included, as they make the exercise in speed moot. That doesn't mean that Stand Stats are wholly irrelevant — just that they can't dictate everything. Speculation has to also factor in, with real-life physics being cited. This will help fans understand which attacks in the series are near impossible to avoid.
10 Star Platinum's Punch Represents Most Of The Fast Stands
Many of the Stands that have an A ranking in the Stand Stats are compared to bullets. The most notable of them is Star Platinum. In Stardust Crusaders, Star Platinum catches a bullet aimed at Jotaro's skull. It has reflexes and speeds that probably exceed 1,800 miles per hour. A punch that fast could be lethal, and it is the default attack of many Stands in the series.
Much like Star Platinum, there are other humanoid Stands whose main attack is a close-range barrage of punches. Most of them are lovingly referred to as "punch ghosts" by fans. Their speeds are all comparable to Jotaro's Star Platinum. These Stands include Sticky Fingers, Kraft Werk, The World, Diver Down, and a few others.
9 Crazy Diamond Is Potentially The Fastest Of The Punch Ghost Stands
While most of the humanoid Stands have equal power and speed, Crazy Diamond could be the fastest of them all. When Josuke tries punching Jotaro with Crazy Diamond, Jotaro is forced to use Star Platinum: The World's time stop ability because he could not deflect Crazy Diamond's punch in time.
On top of that, Crazy Diamond is able to pummel a stationary but fully-charged Red Hot Chili Pepper. This is an incredible feat, as Red Hot Chili Pepper is theoretically one of the fastest stands in the franchise. This can mean that Crazy Diamond is significantly faster than a speeding bullet.
8 Kars & Joseph Combine For An Explosive Attack
Joseph Joestar is the craftiest of the Joestars. While on the ropes, he instinctively blocks Kars' Ripple attack using the Red Stone of Aja. This results in his grandest attack: a volcanic eruption strong enough to launch them out of the atmosphere.
Leaving the surface of the Earth requires an escape velocity of 7 miles per second and Joseph manages to create an eruption so violent that it reaches those speeds. Without using Stands, Joseph finds a way to produce an attack that is devastating enough to defeat the synthesis of biological evolution. It might have been an accident, but the wiliest character from Battle Tendency finds a way.
7 Silver Chariot's Footwork Eludes Human Perception
Silver Chariot's default form is not faster than any of the other members of the Stardust Crusaders. The speed of its strikes is just as fast as Star Platinum's. There's even a misconception that Silver Chariot is as fast as Hanged Man just because he strikes him while traveling. Polnareff anticipates Hanged Man's location, so striking him is more about positioning than speed.
Silver Chariot's speed shines once it removes its armor. Without the added weight, it can move faster than the human eye can see, which is roughly 10 miles per second. It's fast enough to create afterimages in the minds of whoever tries to watch it.
6 Red Hot Chili Pepper Bolts Close To The Speed Of Light
On its own, Red Hot Chili Pepper is already a Stand that thrives off its speed and nimble nature, but it can still be outpaced. Crazy Diamond is able to land punches on a fully charged Red Hot Chili Pepper, proving its speed when stationary is not unbeatable. It's when Red Hot Chili Pepper enters electric cables that it becomes frighteningly fast.
Since the Stand can reduce itself to pure electricity, it can freely move inside a conductor. Depending on the quality of the wire, that will allow Red Hot Chili Pepper to move at 50-90% of the speed of light. At its quickest, an attack from Red Hot Chili Pepper could be 1,677 miles per second, something Keicho Nijimura finds out.
5 Black Sabbath Can Move Through Shadows At Alarming Speeds
When it comes to tracking down targets and ambushes, Black Sabbath might be one of the best Stands in the whole franchise. It can instantaneously teleport through shadows to attack. Theoretically, moving this fast between spaces would require speeds comparable to the speed of light.
The only issue with Black Sabbath is the Stand is slow to attack on its own. From what's seen in Golden Wind, the speed of its strike is similar to a snake's lunge. Giorno is able to react to its attack, dodging it completely. While the attack can be as fast as light, it is not always guaranteed to be that quick.
4 Clash Combines Teleportation With A Quick Strike
Clash is another Stand that can teleport. It freely moves between bodies of open liquid in fractions of seconds. What sets Clash apart is its striking speed and distance. Using its teleportation, it can close the distance between itself and its target to negligible extents. In Golden Wind, it teleports right into Narancia's face using his tears.
If Clash is that close, then it can strike from point-blank range. This coupled with the striking speed of a shark, it can land its hit almost instantly. This is supported by the show since Narancia defeats Squalo by isolating him from any body of water, not by challenging Clash's speed.
3 D4C: Love Train's Deflect Is Impossible To Defend Against
D4C: Love Train is arguably the second-best defensive Stand in the whole franchise, trailing behind Giorno's Gold Experience Requiem. It prevents all misfortune from coming Funny Valentine's way as long as he stands inside the wall of light his Stand produces.
D4C: Love Train does this by instantly transferring all the misfortune to a random location in the world. The effects are instantaneous and random. When Funny deflects an attack, the damage is teleported elsewhere with no way of predicting it. It's possibly as fast as light and impossible to react to.
2 Hanged Man's Speed Is Explicitly Mentioned
Most of the fastest Stands in the franchise have the ability to teleport or to have their attacks teleport. While this must mean they're probably fast, it's also speculation. The speed for teleportation is theoretical, so it is hard to make a definitive call on it.
Hanged Man does not suffer from any of those guesses. The series outright says its ability to teleport through reflections is as fast as light. This makes its strikes as fast as 186,000 miles per second. Since it attacks through reflections, everything about the Stand exists in the realm of light. If J. Geil were a better Stand user, he would be nearly unstoppable.
1 There Is Nothing Faster Than Made In Heaven
Made in Heaven makes discussing speed in JoJo feel like a joke. This Stand is fast enough to reset the universe. Its ability to harness gravity and accelerate time leads to the most devastating final attack in all of JoJo's. At that point, it's significantly faster than light.
A Stand that is fast enough to reset the universe is untouchable when it comes to speed. Its true potential is infinite. Made In Heaven can be as fast as Pucci wants it to be.
