My Hero Academia is set in a world where everyone is born with superpowers, and youths need to learn how to handle themselves responsibly in a world where anyone can breathe fire, levitate objects, or read minds. Hero teachers, in particular, not only teach their students math and science but also set an example on how to properly use their Quirks as upstanding citizens.

The U.A. school's teachers are all-powerful heroes with remarkable Quirks of their own, and some of these teachers have seen a lot of combat since My Hero Academia began. Some of the teachers are stronger than others, though, and some of them are also quicker than others. It soon became clear in the anime how the heroes are ranked according to their speed, and the fastest of them are too quick for any villain to catch.

10 Thirteen Doesn't Have To Move To Fight

Thirteen using her Black Hole Quirk from the My Hero Academia anime.

The astronaut-themed teacher, Thirteen, relies mostly on her Quirk, Black Hole, rather than agility or feats of strength and stamina. Thirteen tends to stand still while using that Black Hole ability, and she merely has to aim her finger to use it. Its range is rather long, too.

There is little doubt that Thirteen has adequate reflexes and physical conditioning to operate as a hero, but aside from that, there is no real evidence of Thirteen having remarkable speed or mobility. She is certainly the slowest U.A. teacher who has a combat role. (Note that Recovery Girl is a staff member rather than a teacher.)

9 Cementoss Relies Entirely On His Quirk, Rather Than Mobility

Cementoss is one of several My Hero Academia characters who seem to rely entirely on their Quirk to fight, and his design makes this quite clear. Cementoss is a bulky fellow whose appearance matches his concrete-generating Quirk, and it's difficult to imagine him sprinting across the battlefield or leaping from rooftop to rooftop.

Instead, Cementoss keeps himself low to the ground and uses his Cement Quirk to create endless waves of concrete to block enemy attacks and trap criminals in the act. His Quirk is quick, but his body is not, so he ranks low among pro heroes in terms of speed.

8 Present Mic Is In Good Shape But Doesn't Often Move While Fighting

present mic my hero academia

The cheerful hero Present Mic is U.A.'s English teacher, and he is known for his energetic personality and loud Voice Quirk. Although Present Mic is a trim and healthy man of 30 years, he doesn't often perform acts of great athleticism in combat.Though, in theory, he could.

Present Mic, like Cementoss, relies entirely on his Quirk to fight, and he can simply stand there and shout to overwhelm his enemies with his sonic assaults, such as during the fight with Kyoka Jiro and Koji Koda. His mobility is, by choice, limited.

7 Snipe's Bullets Are Much Quicker Than He Is

The masked teacher Snipe ranks among the greatest gunslingers in anime, and his Homing Quirk allows him to guide his bullets to any target and take them down. That's an excellent Quirk for a gunslinger like him, though he's not terribly quick on his feet.

Like Present Mic, there is little doubt that Snipe could move much faster if he chose to, and he is likely in great physical form. Due to his Quirk and combat role, though, he rarely has to run around or leap over obstacles during combat. His speed is merely mediocre, and he rarely needs it.

6 Power Loader Is A Master Of The Earth

power loader my hero academia

The teacher known as Power Loader is a petite man who has a fondness for the earth under his feet, which reflects in his hero costume. Power Loader hasn't taken part in very many fight scenes, but he did pose a challenge to the runner student Tenya Iida and Mashirao Ojiro, who teamed up against him.

Power Loader's speed is only mediocre for a hero, but he can move with decent speed and stealth underground when he is in his element. If he's clever about it, he can take his enemies by total surprise, even if his speed stat is merely average. Earth-based techniques don't have to be slow or blunt, after all.

5 Midnight Has Decent Physical Abilities But Relies Mainly On Her Quirk

Midnight smiles with her eyes closed

The R-rated hero, Midnight, is in good physical shape, like Present Mic and Snipe. And like them, she relies mainly on her Quirk in combat. It's easy to imagine Midnight leaping and sprinting around the battlefield to avoid enemy fire, but for the most part, she stays in place.

Midnight's speed stat is a C, meaning she can do a decent job of avoiding enemy fire until she can get into a position to use her remarkable Somnambulist Quirk. If she's taken by surprise, though, a quicker ally must help her get out of harm's way.

4 Ectoplasm Is Quick On His Prosthetic Legs

Ectoplasm gives an eerie grin in My Hero Academia

Both of Ectoplasm's legs are peg legs, but that doesn't mean he is slow or clumsy in combat. Much the opposite: Ectoplasm has trained to become a kick-oriented hero, and he is quite fast on those legs of his. He can easily rush up to a long-range fighter, such as Fumikage Tokoyami, and start kicking.

Ectoplasm may not be blindingly fast, but he's quick enough to fight most villains with ease, and his Clone Quirk further boosts his combat effectiveness. Fumikage and Tsuyu Asui had to get clever to outmaneuver him and affix the handcuffs to his leg.

3 Vlad King Is Speedy Enough To Handle The Likes Of Dabi

Vlad King Meeting With Eraserhead MHA

While formidable speed may not be Vlad King's #1 tool in combat as a pro hero, he certainly is fast, and this allows him to keep pace with almost any foe he may come across. During the forest training arc, Vlad moved quick enough to outpace one of Dabi's clones and pin it to the wall, and that's saying a lot.

Vlad King is clearly in top physical shape, meaning he has enough speed and strength to take down villains even if he doesn't use his Blood Control Quirk. Class 1-B will always be safe when Vlad King is on the scene.

2 Eraser Head Is Highly Mobile & Tricky

Eraser Head with Dry eyes MHA

Class 1-A's homeroom teacher, the moody Shota Aizawa, doesn't put much emphasis on raw hitting power or devastating Quirks. Rather, he relies on investigative skills, tricks and traps, and sheer speed to capture criminals on the streets and hand them over to the police. Eraser Head's Quirk makes this work easier, nullifying the enemy's talents with a mere glance.

Eraser Head is remarkably fast, even though his Erasure Quirk doesn't actually enhance his physical abilities at all, which makes his physical combat prowess all the more impressive. Ordinary criminals have no hope of catching him.

1 All Might Isn't Just Strong, He's Impossibly Fast, Too

all might

At times, it seemed that All Might really had it all: power, charisma, fame, and even extreme speed. It is true that All Might's combat style was mainly based on overwhelming strength and his impeccable charisma as an inspirational hero, but he was far from slow. In fact, he was the fastest hero during his heyday.

In his muscle form, All Might is too quick for the eye to see, and he can apply this speed either in short bursts to take enemies by surprise, or to sprint long distances to reach the scene of a crime before it's too late. That's how All Might can reach innocent civilians in time and declare "I am here!" no matter what. Only the world's fastest hero could pull that off.
