While audiences may have to wait nearly a year for the premiere of F9 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, they can return to the high-octane world of the hit action franchise with the new video game Fast & Furious Crossroads.

A launch trailer heralding the game's release has been unveiled, with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez reprising their roles as Dom and Letty. Joining the game's all-star cast is Sonequa Martin-Green and Asia Kate Dillon as new allies for the fast-driving crew as they oppose a nefarious villain portrayed by Peter Stormare.

The launch trailer shows the racers engaged in pulse-pounding car chases all over the world, with death-defying obstacles and stunts, all set to an engaging soundtrack. The game's main story mode will be set within the Fast & Furious Universe, with an online multiplayer mode allowing players to race and combat one another on intricate tracks.

Fast & Furious Crossroads was originally slated to debut in May to coincide with the release F9, but following the film being delayed to 2021 due to the global health crisis, the game's release was quietly pushed back to August.
