The first teaser trailer for F9 is here, and it teases another major death for the popular film franchise.The release of the teaser also comes with our first poster for the ninth installment, featuring Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto sitting on the hood of his car, with his cross necklace dangling in the air.The F9 teaser puts Dom and Letty on a quiet farm, seemingly retired from their world-saving lifestyle. The reason for their retirement becomes clear when we see a young Brian Toretto, who helps his father work on a tractor. When putting the boy to bed, Letty passes Dom's necklace to Brian for protection, with the implication one of the three could die in the film.
F9 will be helmed by Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth and sixth entries in the Fast & Furious franchise. It stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and Michael Rooker. Cardi B, John Cena, Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, Vinnie Bennett and Ozuna are also set to appear. Fast & Furious 9 is slated to release May 22.
