Ben Stiller has reportedly landed a role in the forthcoming Fast & Furious film F9.

According to Page Six, Stiller is due to begin shooting his scenes soon. However, no details have emerged yet as to the extent of his role, though it's likely to be of the smaller variety. It's also worth noting Stiller's résumé consists of largely comedic performances, which could offer a clue as to what fans can expect from him should he step foot into the sprawling Fast & Furious franchise.

F9 takes place right after the events of the eighth film of the franchise, The Fate of the Furious. In the latest installment, Dominic Toretto and his family are set to face Dom's younger brother Jakob (John Cena), a deadly assassin working with their old enemy Cipher (Charlize Theron), who holds a personal vendetta against Dominic.

Directed by Justin Lin, F9 stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang, with Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and Cardi B. The film arrives in theaters May 22.
