Fast & Furious alum Gal Gadot is reportedly slated to reprise her role as Gisele Yashar in the action franchise's upcoming 10th main-series installment, Fast X.

According to The Direct, sources say that Gadot is attached to return to the Fast franchise in Fast X, which is currently slated for release on May 19, 2023. If this report is accurate, it means that Gadot will join fellow DC Universe star Jason Momoa in the upcoming Universal sequel. Notably, Gadot's Fast character, Gisele, was killed off during the events of Fast & Furious 6 (2013). However, this would not be the first time the franchise has brought back a supposedly dead character. Sung Kang's Han Lue recently returned in F9 (2021) -- the character's first appearance set after his supposed demise in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).

Fast & Furious Launched Gal Gadot's Career

Gadot first portrayed Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious (2009), the fourth entry in the eponymous franchise, which marked the Israel-born actor's first international film performance. She then reprised the role in Fast Five (2011) and the aforementioned Fast & Furious 6. Gadot filmed a cameo for a flashback scene in Furious 7 (2015), though it was excluded from the final cut of the film.

Gadot went on to land the role of the beloved DC comic book character Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, making her debut as the Princess of Themyscira in the film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). She subsequently played Wonder Woman in the character's first big-screen solo film, Wonder Woman (2017), as well as in Justice League (2017), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) and Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021).

What's Next for Gal Gadot?

Interestingly, news of Gadot's supposed return to Fast & Furious comes at a time when her DC future is actually up in the air. While Gadot recently expressed her excitement to tell the next chapter in Diana's story, it soon came to light that the third Wonder Woman solo film was no longer moving forward in its current form amid the changing of the guard at the newly-christened DC Studios. Furthermore, Gadot's cameo as Diana has reportedly been cut from the upcoming DCU film The Flash. It remains to be seen if Gadot's planned cameo in Shazam! Fury of the Gods will meet a similar fate.

Nevertheless, Gadot has a number of other projects coming down the pipeline. For instance, she is set to star in the upcoming Netflix film Heart of Stone. She will also play the iconic role of the Evil Queen in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of Snow White. (Snow White herself will be portrayed by Fury of the Gods star Rachel Zegler.) Finally, Gadot is attached to portray classic Hollywood actor and inventor Hedy Lamarr in an upcoming series about her life.
