Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard grace two new posters for "Macbeth," the dark reimagining of the Shakespearean tragedy by "Snowtown" director Justin Kurzel.
Fassbender of course stars stars as the 11th-century Scottish warrior and leader brought low by ambition and desire in a reinterpretation of the play grounded in the reality of the time. Cotillard plays the manipulative Lady Macbeth.
All three unite in Fox's "Assassin's Creed," which also debuted an image of Fassbender today.
Opening Oct. 2 in the United Kingdom, "Macbeth" also stars David Thewlis as King Duncan, Sean Harris as Macduff and Paddy Considine as Banquo. It's expected to be released in the United States in December, although no date has been announced.
