Noah Hawley, who created and wrote the Emmy-winning TV miniseries Fargo, will tackle one of the films in Universal Pictures ambitious plan to reboot it classic monster franchises.

The news arrives in the Deadline report about Hawley's deal with Sony Pictures to adapt his novel Before the Fall, which he'll also produce with James Cameron.

Confirmed in July, the Universal Monsters revival involves an interconnected universe overseen by Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan. It will kick off in June 2016 with the release of the reboot of The Mummy, directed by Kurtzman.

While no additional information was revealed about Hawley's film, the Universal library runs deep, with characters ranging from Frankenstein's Monster and the Creature from the Black Lagoon to the Invisible Man and Dracula.
