Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan will join the second season of FX's Fargo, TheWrap reports, marking his return to television after the end of his USA Network spy drama last year.

Series creator Noah Hawley revealed in July that this season will take place in 1979 and focus on an oft-mentioned case in Sioux Falls. Donovan will play a character named Dodd, joining already-cast Rachel Keller.

Citing unnamed sources, TheWrap contends Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) has been offered a place in the cast as a character named Carl, although he's not currently in negotiations. Like Donovan, Offerman's role on a long-running television series is about to come to a close: Parks and Recreation ends its seven-season run on Feb. 24.

Other sources have reported that Mike Bradecich and Allan Dobrescu are also in the running for roles in Fargo's second season.
