One of the biggest fan questions about Spider-Man: Far From Home has involved the true nature of Mysterio's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film and a tie-in action figure from the movie may have confirmed months of fan speculation.

Photos of several official action figures based off the upcoming sequel have surfaced online including a figure for Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio. The description of the character on the packaging notes that "Mysterio is a master of illusion and a sworn enemy of Spider-Man."

Fans were surprised to see Mysterio presented in the initial marketing for Far From Home as a heroic character claiming to be from an alternate dimension. Recruited by Nick Fury alongside Spider-Man to fight a new threat known as the Elementals rampaging across Europe, many fans speculated that the character would eventually become an antagonist with the action figure seemingly confirming this while casting doubt on the character's claims of being a superhero from another world.

Additional action figures included with the reveal are both the traditional and stealth suit versions of Spider-Man and a figure for the flame-based Elemental confirmed to be named Molten Man like his comic book counterpart.
