Teaser art for Fantastic Four's 60th anniversary features a surprise wedding for antagonist Doctor Doom later in the year, with Reed Richards as Doom's best man.
"The future of the Fantastic Four begins in May 2021," reads the tagline at the bottom of the teaser art by Valerio Schiti and Marte Gracia. The identity of the woman Doctor Doom is marrying is hidden under a veil, as Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, Thing, Alicia, Namor and Black Panther stand in the background observing the festivities.
"Dan and RB are working to make the Fantastic Four's 60th Anniversary a nonstop thrill ride for fans, one that touches on all aspects of the FF's world and re-establishes them as the cornerstone players of the Marvel Universe," Executive Editor Tom Brevoort said in a statement. "Expect some big surprises, status quo changes and shocking revelations in the months ahead—to say nothing of the return of some classic villains that readers have been asking for!"
Other takeaways from the teaser art include Kang the Conqueror and Scarlet Centurion, the new threat Cormorant, Victorious (Doctor Doom's herald), Thing choking out his best friend Reed and Johnny Storm in anguish.
