"Could it be clobberin time? #Disney #FantasticFour," Chiklis tweeted, accompanied by artwork of The Thing punching the Incredible Hulk.

Chiklis played The Thing in Fox's 2005 film Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Although both films performed well at the box office, they were not well-received critically, earning scores of 27 percent and 37 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, respectively. He appeared in those features alongside Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm.

Following news that the Fantastic Four will become part of the MCU, Evans joked about reprising his former role for a team-up with Captain America, the character he now plays.

There is currently no information about a potential Fantastic Four movie at Marvel or even any casting information. The Fantastic Four franchise was rebooted with 2015's film, but that film received abysmal reviews from both fans and critics. It's most likely that Disney will restart the franchise all over again.
