In a preview for Fantastic Four #35, Marvel's first family try to deal with the fallout of their last encounter of the Doom kind, while another villain convenes with like-minded foes.

The issue will feature three short stories as a celebration of the team's 60th anniversary in Marvel Comics. The cover features the team and close allies, such as Spider-Man when he joined the Future Foundation, Black Panther, who first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 in 1966, and others. Based the preview, the team will be reeling from the previous "Bride of Doom" arc, while Kang the Conqueror and his variants plot and bicker together.

The preview opens with the Fantastic Four arriving back at the Baxter Building. In the last arc, Johnny Storm was punished by Doctor Doom for having intimate relations with the ruler's bride-to-be, Victorious, by using a device called the "Armagedron" to lock the Human Torch in his fiery state forever. Two pages of the preview see the team going home to deal with the problem and find a cure, which will be further explored in the following issue as well.

The other side of the preview sees a gathering of conquerors, or at least the variants of one conqueror. Kang the Conqueror, a descendant of Mr. Fantastic, meets with his variants, Rama Tut, the Scarlet Centurion and Immortus within the intended tomb for Rama Tut. Absent from this gathering are other Kang variants like Iron Lad and the latest version of Kang, a young Nathaniel Richards running around time in the pages of the Kang the Conqueror mini-series.

Here on these pages, the rulers argue with and insult one another. Rama Tut calls his other versions "worthless," while Kang describes Immortus as a "dusty, archaic academic" and claims that he was "embarrassed [he] ever was the Scarlet Centurion." However, Kang does not realize that there is another variant set to arrive to the gathering, a future version of himself.

Immortus reveals this information. This version of Kang was recently adapted as He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) in Loki on Disney+, with Majors set to return as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In the preview, Immortus tells Kang that even he has "a future," implying that Kang isn't the last variant in their line as he believes himself to be.
