After spending more than three years missing from the Marvel Universe, the Fantastic Four are finally coming back to the Marvel Universe next month with a brand new issue #1 written by Dan Slott and illustrated by Sara Pichelli.
While Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm have been around the Marvel U all this time, half of their team has been missing: Reed Richards, Susan Storm and their children Franklin and Valeria Richards haven't been seen since the end of 2015's Secret Wars event, a story that ended with the parents and children traveling the multiverse to create new worlds.
The long-awaited return of a Fantastic Four title came as a relief to fans, but it seems like issue #3 is where all the big reunions will finally come. Thanks to the advance solicits from Marvel's October releases, we now know that the third issue of the comic series is when we will see the Fantastic Four finally reunite with the rest of the Marvel characters.
From what we can gather of the solicit description, it appears like Fantastic Four #1 and #2 will not reunite Ben and Johnny with the rest of the team just yet. Instead, perhaps the two issues will feature a buildup of sorts, which will finally culminate in a proper Fantastic Four reunion in issue #3. Not only that, the super-team will finally meet the rest of Marvel's superheroes once again, in an issue that is said to guest star Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Wolverine, the Hulk and more.
If the stunning cover by Esad Ribic is anything to go by, this is a reunion we simply won't want to miss.
