Artist Stanley âArtgermâ Lau revealed his variant cover for Dan Slottâs Fantastic Four #25, featuring a very powerful-looking Doctor Doom.Lau posted the image to his Twitter, saying, "Here is my cover for Fantastic Four 25 featuring Doctor Doom. My first attempt drawing Doom."
The Singapore-based artist has built a name for himself at Marvel with a multitude of variant covers featuring detailed renditions of the company's most recognizable characters. Following his variant covers for all four members of the FF, itâs only fitting that his latest addition to the title is of the teamâs greatest foe.
Lauâs eye-catching cover makes this already highly anticipated issue in the series even more eventful, following Dan Slottâs promise that #25 will feature a permanent status quo change to the bookâs overarching narrative. Not only that, but Marvelâs first family will be getting brand new uniforms debuting in this issue as well.
Marvel has also teased an appearance by Doom in this issue, making it a fitting match for Lauâs first drawing of the villain. Its release will follow shortly after Empyre: Fallout Fantastic Four #1, for which Marvel has teased two major turning points for the entire Marvel Universe.
Fantastic Four #25, by Dan Slott and R.B. Silva, goes on sale in October from Marvel Comics.
