A new video released online highlights many of the connections between the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series.

The video, posted by Warner Bros. in anticipation of the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, makes the case that the shared wizarding world has more connections than you remember, and even some you never knew. The Fantastic Beasts series takes place decades before Harry Potter was even born, when Dumbledore was just a teacher at Hogwarts and Newt Scamander is an explorer working with him to stop the dark wizard Grindelwald.

Many of the highlights will delight Potter fans, helping strengthen the bond between the two time periods. There are a number of connections, including how Grindelwald possesses the Elder Wand, his overall knowledge and reverence for the Deathly Hallows and his ill-fated relationship to Albus Dumbledore.

The most touching moment, however, focuses on how both a young Harry and a young Dumbledore gazed into the same Mirror of Erised decades apart and saw the loved ones they wish were with them. It retroactively makes Dumbeldore’s warning to Harry not to get lost in the illusion of desire from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone all the more powerful.

Directed by David Yates, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second installment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. It stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Eddie Redmayne and Callum Turner. The film hits theaters on Nov. 16.
