Season 2 garnered so much praise that Warrior Nun Season 1 re-entered the streaming service's Top 10 this past November following its Nov. 10 premiere.

With the cancellation, Season 2 left various unfinished plotholes and cliffhangers, contributing to fans' anger about the series being shelved. Warrior Nun thrived on Netflix despite no promotional budget being spent on the show. Season 2 was confirmed a month after Season 1's premiere and delivered multiple storylines, including a love story involving two of its heroes and redeeming key members of the Order of the Cruciform Sword (OCS).
