FANGORIA.COM Premieres Exclusive Flash Comic Strip Featuring IMAGE's Terry Sharp!

Official Press Release

Beginning this Monday, Fangoria.com will be exclusively running the Flash-animated online horror comic strip SHADOWDANCE: A TERRY SHARP STORY. The character of Terry Sharp also appears this month in THE FACELESS: A TERRY SHARP STORY, a 64-page color graphic novel from Image Comics (www.imagecomics.com). Created by writer/director Robert (THE BLACK FOREST) Tinnell and British artist Adrian (DR. WHO) Salmon, the series has been described as "THE SAINT meets CURSE OF THE DEMON." Hero Sharp is a director of horror films at Midwich Studios in London, 1962. He has stumbled across a very real occult conspiracy and battles evil tirelessly. The story is packed with sly visuals and other references that will please fans of Hammer Films, hip British television, swinging London and darkly comic horror.

"Terry Sharp is a really cool character," says FANGORIA magazine and website editor Tony Timpone. "For fans of old-fashioned horror, mystery and two-fisted action thrills, this new series is a must. I can't wait to see what Robert Tinnell and company come up with for this exclusive, daily website strip."

SHADOWDANCE follows Terry and his sexy partner Elspeth in a fog-bound mystery for five weeks, with a new episode every weekday. The strip was put together by editor Mike Anderson, who has worked with Tinnell on several other projects. "Fortunately, Flash allows us to make the finished files rather small-so even dial-up readers can enjoy the strip without waiting forever for it to download," says Tinnell. "If readers want more information on Terry Sharp they can visit www.terrysharp.net and, among other things, read the first 20 pages of THE FACELESS."

"Innovation is what separates Fangoria.com from other horror entertainment hubs," says Joe Sena, president of SphereWerx, LLC, which operates Fangoria.com and Starlog.com. "Projects like SHADOWDANCE by established genre professionals like Robert and his team create a robust multimedia experience to complement the industry-leading editorial from the FANGORIA staff."
