Epic Fan-Made Posters Bring Wolverine Home to the MCU

Since the announcement that Disney may re-acquire the rights to some of its flagship characters from 21st Century Fox, fans have started speculating how the Marvel Cinematic Universe may introduce its new characters. Now, three fan-made posters have imagined what Hugh Jackman's incarnation of Wolverine many look like in the MCU.

The images come from user erathrim20 on Instagram. The posters are modification of the ones for for Doctor Strange, and they feature Wolverine, Iron Man and Captain America. The first poster shows Wolverine with one of his claws extended.

The second poster shows Wolverine standing in front of a portal. This poster makes reference to the "Axis" storyline, which began in 2014. That storyline saw the Avengers and X-Men teaming up to take on Red Skull.

The third poster shows Wolverine wearing his yellow spandex costume. This image is captioned with "Infinity War," though it is highly unlikely that Wolverine or the X-Men will make an appearance in either of the two upcoming Infinity War movies.

Although the images use Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the actor retired from the role after 2017's Logan. However, Jackman said in a recent interview that a team-up with the Avengers would have made him reconsider his departure. Still, it's most likely that Marvel and Disney will look for someone new to play the role.
