Family Guy unveiled a new message from Stewie and Brian.

A brand new Family Guy short was released via the show's official Twitter. In the short, Peter is at the local hospital complaining about receiving the (coronavirus) COVID-19 vaccination. "Why do I even need to get the COVID shot anyway?" he asks Brian. As the doctor enters and asks Peter if he has any questions, the video cuts to Stewie and Brian who, according to the caption, "travel inside Peter's body to explain how vaccines work."

"Vaccines have been around for hundreds of years," Stewie says in the video. "They helped to eliminate smallpox from the face of the Earth, and they're well on the way to doing the same with polio." He continues by noting both were devastating diseases we no longer have to fear thanks to vaccines.

"Some of the COVID vaccines work by exposing your immune system to proteins, which resemble the Spike Protein of the virus, but cannot infect you" Stewie continues. "The vaccine stimulates your immune system to make antibodies against the virus, mimicking what happens when you get COVID, except that you don't get sick with a vaccine."

While informative, the short doesn't waste a chance to get in a dig at Meg. Throughout the video, Meg's face can be seen as the visualization for the virus as they travel throughout Peter's body. "Hi, I look like the virus, but I'm not the virus," the floating Meg head says at one point. The short also called out Gal Gadot's "Imagine" singalong from the start of the pandemic, as Stewie reminds Brian we cannot go back to that time.

The tweet also provided a link for those interested in learning more about vaccines. Family Guy is scheduled to return for its 20th season Sept. 26 on FOX.
