A well-known location from Bethesda's post-apocalyptic role-playing video game series Fallout comes to life in newly-surfaced videos from the set of Prime Video's upcoming live-action adaptation.

YouTube user El Bakon's Sweet Spot shared a pair of videos from the set of Prime Video's Fallout in Staten Island, featuring the Super-Duper-Mart, a fictional supermarket chain from within the Fallout universe. This depiction of the Super-Duper Mart is fairly game-accurate, using the store logo established in the 2015 video game Fallout 4. A couple of weathered, retro-style vehicles can also be seen in the parking lot.

The Super-Duper Mart was initially introduced in 2008's Fallout 3, the third main-series Fallout game and the first to be made by Bethesda, the current owner of the franchise. While there is only one known Super-Duper Mart in the Capital Wasteland, it's one Fallout 3 fans are sure to be very familiar with. After all, one of the first quests players are likely to receive after leaving Vault 101 and arriving in the city of Megaton involves traveling to the raider-inhabited Super-Duper Mart in search of supplies. There is also an explorable Super-Duper Mart located in the Commonwealth, the main setting of 2015's Fallout 4.

In Fallout, the Super-Duper Mart Is an East Coast Staple

Moreover, the remains of other Super-Duper Mart locations can be found across Fallout 4, including in the Far Harbor add-on. The Super-Duper Mart company also had a presence in Appalachia, with a few locations appearing in the 2018 spinoff multiplayer game Fallout 76. This would imply that like Fallout 3, 4 and 76, Prime Video's live-action Fallout series will take place on the East Coast, as there are no known Super-Duper Mart locations on the West Coast (the setting of games like Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas). Some fans have already speculated as much, given the fact that the TV series is filming in New York.

It was first reported in July 2020 that Amazon Studios had tapped Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy to develop a live-action Fallout series for Prime Video. In January 2022, it was reported that the project was moving forward. Nolan signed on to direct the show's premiere episode, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner boarding as showrunners. Nolan, Joy and Athena Wickham of Kilter Films are executive producing alongside Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman of Bethesda Softworks. The series is slated to star Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten.
