Two years after it was launched, EB Games will start to issue refunds on Fallout 76 fans as a response to fans' complaints about the game.

EB Games informed the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) that it will refund any players who sent a refund request in between November 2018-October 2019, and the company will issue refunds through Aug. 1.

"The Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with the right to ask for their choice of a repair, replacement or refund when they have purchased a product that has a fault which amounts to a major failure," ACCC Commissioner Sarah Court explained. "Retailers must ensure that they train their staff so they do not misrepresent to consumers their consumer guarantee rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the right to obtain a refund in certain circumstances."

Getting the refunds may not be as easy, though, as it seems Fallout players will have to go through gaming retailers, which could lead to store credit rather than a cash refund.

Fallout 76 received backlash upon its launch in August 2018, with servers kicking out players and causing them to lose progress, along with other bugs and glitches. Many players complained about their overall experience with the game, though some of the problems have been corrected by the Wastelanders expansion that launched in April.

Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, Fallout 76 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
