It was announced in 2019 that John Walker/U.S.Agent would be making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, played by Wyatt Russell. However, while the character has been seen in such things as a set photo featuring in-universe propaganda posters and a Super Bowl ad, a new set photo offers fans an even cleaner look at the character.

The photo sees Russell coming out of Atlanta City Hall as U.S.Agent while waving and carrying the iconic shield of Captain America.

Created by Mark Gruenwald and Paul Neary, Walker first appeared as Super-Patriot in 1986's Captain America #323. A recipient of superhuman physical abilities courtesy of Dr. Karl Malus, Walker would briefly succeed Steve Rogers as Captain America when Rogers was forced to give up the identity after refusing to work with the Commission on Superhuman Activities before eventually taking up the U.S.Agent identity.

Following the events of "Avengers: Endgame," Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities--and their patience--in Marvel Studios' "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier." The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Coming 2021.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series debuts on Disney+ in 2021.
