Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes will soon return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel's upcoming Disney+ television series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has officially started filming.
On Instagram, writer-producer Malcolm Spellman shared two behind-the-scenes photos, confirming the highly anticipated Marvel series has started production. "Day 1," Spellman wrote in the post's caption. "Craaazy to see it come to life. Marvel ain’t allowing photos from set right now but this a huge day for a lot of people including me."
The photos only feature Spellman's chair, which highlights the series' previously revealed logo and the writer's name.
Marvel's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will see Sam Wilson carry the shield of Captain America as he tries to live up to the legacy of Steve Rogers. The series will bring back Captain America: Civil War's Emily VanCamp as Agent 13, as well as Daniel Brühl as the villainous Zemo.
Directed by Kari Skogland, Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell and Daniel Brühl and will be available on Disney+. The series will hit the streaming service in Fall 2020.
