Sebastian Stan has posted an image from an early camera test for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, showcasing Bucky Barnes' new costume.

"Camera test, October 2019. Less than 2 months to go," Stan wrote in the caption. The image features Barnes' dark blue jacket and new Vibranium arm, which he obtained during the events of Avengers: Infinity WarThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier was officially announced during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier puts the spotlight on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, as they struggle to live up to the legacy of their friend Steve Rogers-- better known to the world as Captain America. In the process, they will battle a multitude of villains including the Flag-Smashers and Helmut Zemo. The latter villain attempted to frame Barnes during the events of Captain America: Civil War. Images from the trailer have tease a confrontation between the two.

Originally slated to debut last fall, production delays related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic led The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to halt filming in March. Filming resumed in August 2020 and wrapped in October 2020, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealing that the series would now premiere in March 2021 at the Disney Investor Day livestream event.
