In the wake of Avengers: Endgame, Falcon and The Winter Soldier is coming to Disney+, and the show seems set to give fans the chance to see Sam Wilson wield Captain America's shield.

Now, a new report from Deadline has revealed several details about the miniseries.

Falcon and Winter Soldier will reportedly be a six-part miniseries on Disney+. Veteran television director Kari Skolgand will reportedly helm every episode of the series. The Emmy-nominated director previously directed episodes of The Walking DeadThe Handmaid's Tale and the upcoming NOS4A2. She's already worked in one corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by directing an episode of The Punisher.

The report also claims that Falcon and Winter Soldier is set to hit the new streaming service in August 2020. This is in line with earlier reports that suggested that the series would launch sometime within the first year of the streaming service.

The series will follow Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as they reprise their Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero roles. The show will follow what happens to the two heroes in a without Steve Rogers, and they may be joined by Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo and Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter.

Directed by Kari Skogland, Falcon and Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and will be released on Disney+.
