Even though the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will show the team-up of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, the two of them aren't necessarily on good terms.

Footage of the series was shown to Disney shareholders that featured Bucky mentioning that he and Sam aren't friends. He then goes on to say that, though the two of them need to work together, their only connection is that they both happened to be friends with Captain America/Steve Rogers.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will feature the return of Daniel Brüh's Baron Helmut Zemo, who first appeared as the villain in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Wyatt Russell will also be appearing in the series as John Walker/USAgent.

The series has experienced several delays in production, as coronavirus halted a shoot in Prague and a recent earthquake delayed filming in Puerto Rico. That said, it seems the series is still planned to debut in August.
