WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Falcon & Winter Soldier #1 by Derek Landy, Federico Vicentini, Matt Milla and VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale Wednesday, Feb. 26.

With Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes preparing to headline The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ streaming series, Marvel Comics is giving the duo the spotlight in a new comic miniseries. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's portrayal of the heroes made fans want to see even more of their adventures and partner dynamics at play, and this new comic should provide that until the Disney+ series debuts in the fall.

While we have set photos to fill the time until a proper trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier arrives later this year, the Falcon & Winter Soldier comic released a preview for the first issue, and it immediately evokes memories of a Marvel Cinematic Universe fight scene from Captain America: Civil War.

You'll recall the second big action sequence in Civil War took place when Captain America tracked down the Winter Soldier. Bucky was framed for killing Wakanda's King T'Chaka by Helmut Zemo, making him a wanted man. Luckily, Cap was able to find Bucky living in a small apartment. The Winter Soldier denied committing any war crimes, but as Cap explained, the group of armed policemen and soldiers storming the building believe Bucky did.

Once soldiers stormed the apartment, Cap and the Winter Soldier used their super-soldier abilities in tandem to allow the latter to escape. The preview of Falcon & Winter Soldier #1 also finds Bucky fighting his way down a set of stairs as he easily takes out his attackers.

Instead of hiding in an apartment, Falcon & Winter Soldier #1 finds Bucky in a two-story house with his pet cat. Bucky is even shown meditating, which makes the attack even more surprising. Of course, the strike team is no match for the Winter Soldier, and Bucky and his cat ride off on a motorcycle once the threat is neutralized.

Falcon and Winter Soldier will have to work together against Hydra in their miniseries, plus interference from a new character called the Natural, who fashions himself as a Captain America superfan. In a way, he mirrors U.S. Agent in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

"The Natural is a Captain America super-fan who learned all the wrong things from Steve Rogers’ legacy and has gone down a pretty dark path as a result -- though he certainly doesn’t see it that way," Associate Editor Alanna Smith said. "Bucky and Sam are both integral parts of that legacy, so they’re really going to wrestle with how on earth to deal with this very cheerful and very violent guy who’s being seduced by Hydra."

Falcon & Winter Soldier #1 goes on sale Feb. 26 from Marvel Comics.
