As March 2021 hits its halfway point, Disney+ and HBO Max have each launched their own eagerly anticipated superhero programming in a bid to dominate the streaming wars, resulting in them putting out trailers for Falcon and Winter Soldier, Godzilla vs. Kong and more. However, they're far from the only ones who advertised high-profile projects this week.
Here are the biggest trailers, teasers and promos released this past week.
Batwoman
A family reunion may be in the cards in the next episode of Batwoman, with a new promo showing Alice setting out to confront her long-lost sister Kate Kane. And while Alice continues searching for her missing sibling, new Scarlet Knight Ryan Wilder battles against the villainous Safiyah and her minions for the fate of Gotham City.
Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane and Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton-Kane. New episodes air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
Black Lightning
While Black Lightning may be coming to an end with its fourth season, Khalil Payne's search for redemption will continue on in the planned spinoff series Painkiller. A promo for Painkiller's backdoor pilot episode, airing as part of Black Lightning's final season, serves as a showcase for the anti-hero's awesome combat prowess as he struggles to control his own inner demons and propensity for violence.
Black Lightning stars Cress Williams, Laura Kariuki, Nafessa Williams, Christine Adams, Marvin "Krondon" Jones III, Jordan Calloway, Chantal Thuy, and James Remar. New episodes air Monday nights on The CW.
Cruella
Disney+ showcases the fashionable side of breaking bad in the upcoming 101 Dalmatians prequel film Cruella, starring Emma Stone as the iconic Disney villain. A new promo has Estella struggling to make it as a fashion designer before she takes on her new persona, with the fashionista perfecting her memorable alter ego by embracing her killer instinct.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, Cruella stars Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, Joel Fry and Emily Beecham. The film arrives in theaters on May 28.
Demon Slayer -- Kimetsu no Yaiba -- The Movie: Mugen Train
After premiering in Japan this past year, the latest Demon Slayer anime film opens in North America next month. Boasting an R rating for bloody action, a trailer for Demon Slayer -- Kimetsu no Yaiba -- The Movie: Mugen Train has Tanjiro lead the hunt for a vicious demon on board the titular train. Last year's Japanese premiere of the film set box office records.
Directed by Hatsuo Sotozaki, Demon Slayer -- Kimetsu no Yaiba -- The Movie: Mugen Train will be released in theaters on April 23 and on digital June 22.
The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged
While fans may have to wait a bit longer for the premiere of The Dragon Prince Season 4, the popular Netflix animated series is receiving a tabletop game this fall to allow audiences to join the battle for Xadia. Wonderstorm released a trailer for The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged, showing the fantasy characters in action, with players using cards and miniature figures to fight for the fate of the kingdom.
Developed by Wonderstorm and Brotherwise Games, The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged arrives this fall.
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance
The popular Dungeons & Dragons region of Icewind Dale is about to be revisited in the upcoming video game Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance. A gameplay trailer for the game shows a band of hearty adventurers battling giants and Beholders as they search for a mythical Crystal Shard, a weapon capable of untold amounts of destruction.
Developed by Tuque Games and published by Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC June 22.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is finally here, continuing Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes adventures through the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the new Disney+ miniseries. One final trailer reveals the pair of superheroes working together to take on the Flag-Smashers and their old nemesis Helmut Zemo as the battle for the legacy of Captain America truly begins.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres March 19 on Disney+.
Fast & Furious: Spy Racers
After racing through the Sahara Desert on the right side of the law, the high-octane team of Fast & Furious: Spy Racers finds themselves on the run in next month's fourth season. Framed for a particularly heinous crime, Tony Toretto and his friends flee south of the border to Mexico for an adventure to prove their innocence.
Executive produced by Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, Chris Morgan, Tim Hedrick and Bret Haaland, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers stars Tyler Posey, Camille Ramsey, Luke Youngblood, Charlet Chung and Jorge Diaz. All three seasons are available to stream now on Netflix. Season 4 premieres on April 16.
The Flash
While Barry Allen may have regained his signature speed, the Arrowverse superhero has to contend with a resurgent Abra Kadabra in an upcoming episode of The Flash. The time-traveling supervillain now boasts a new arsenal of high-tech tricks to stay one step of Team Flash, poised to make all of Central City disappear as the Scarlet Speedster races to stop him once and for all.

Fortnite
As Fortnite Chapter 2 launches its sixth season, a cinematic trailer shows Agent Jones setting out to stop Zero Point as he arrives on Fortnite Island with some iconic reinforcements to finish the fight. With everyone from Tomb Raider's Lara Croft to Street Fighter's Ryu joining the battle royale, the massively popular online game is only getting bigger as it moves into Season 6.

Godzilla vs. Kong
The two biggest Titans are at long last duking it out against one another on the big screen with Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max. A new promo for the movie reveals Kong has since been detained in an elaborate menagerie digitally recreating Skull Island as he prepares for his eventual duel against Godzilla, with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance.
Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max on March 31.
The Irregulars
The next Netflix original series expands on the world of Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming crime show The Irregulars. Named after the group of orphans that kept Sherlock appraised of the latest news around London, the series has the young ensemble learn from Doctor John Watson that they are in grave peril when a portal between worlds opens, threatening to plunge London into paranormal terror.
Created by Tom Bidwell, The Irregulars stars Thaddea Graham as Bea and Darci Shaw as her sister Jessie; Jojo Macari as Billy, McKell David as Spike, Harrison Osterfield as Leopold, Royce Pierreson as Dr. Watson and Henry Lloyd-Hughes as Sherlock Holmes. The Irregulars starts streaming on Netflix March 26.
Legacies
Saint Patrick's Day has come to Mystic Falls on the latest episode of Legacies, with the Salvatore School students confronting a monstrous leprechaun who wants to do a lot more than pinch anyone not wearing green. The pint-sized imp casts an enchantment causing people to compulsively spend money as the supernatural, little town tries to find the luck of the Irish.

Marvel's Avengers
As Marvel's Avengers finally gets a new DLC hero in Hawkeye, the epic superhero video game has announced the addition of Black Panther in an upcoming DLC expansion titled the War for Wakanda. The DLC's announcement trailer shows Klaw working with Monica Rappaccini to invade the African nation for its most valuable resource: Vibranium. The DLC adds Black Panther as a playable character along with a new story campaign and additional in-game content.
Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, Marvel's Avengers is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia and PC. Black Panther and the War for Wakanda campaign are currently scheduled to release in Summer 2021.
Mortal Kombat
With Mortal Kombat coming to the big screen for the first time in nearly 25 years, the video game's extensive cast of characters are being adapted and reimagined cinematically. The latest promo confirms the lethal ninja Kabal will play a prominent role in the upcoming reboot.

Superman & Lois
Family drama comes to a head in the latest promo for Superman & Lois as Jonathan Kent regards moving to Smallville as something that has impacted his personal life disastrously. As Clark moves to comfort his son with the cross-country move, Lois Lane receives a visit from the antagonistic Captain Luthor, setting the stage for a renewed showdown with the parallel universe villain.

With Zack Snyder's Justice League now available to stream on HBO Max, fans can witness Snyder's original vision for the sweeping DC Extended Universe epic in a bold change from the theatrical version released in 2017. One last trailer for the director's cut has Batman swear to protect the Earth from the New God invasion in Superman's absence as the heroes rally to stop Steppenwolf and Darkseid and their armies from Apokolips.
