Filming may not be set to begin until October, but that doesn't mean things are not happening behind-the-scenes on Marvel Studios' The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Series stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan were on hand at Comic-Con International this weekend as part of the Marvel Studios panel that released a slew of new films, projects and characters into the MCU. However, before the massive Hall H event, Mackie confirmed that he has already tried on his new costume.

As fans will recall, at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, took on the Captain America mantle after Steve Rogers handed him his shield. It was speculated that Mackie would sport his new costume in the series, and now the actor has confirmed as much in a new interview with MTV News.

"I just had my first fitting," Mackie said. "It looks really good."

Joining Kevin Feige to announce more about the series -- and to "fight" over the iconic shield on-stage -- Mackie and his co-star Sebastian Stan helped to officially announce the Fall 2020 release date for the series, as well as its logo. The team also confirmed that both Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp set to reprise their respective roles as Baron Zemo and Sharon Carter.
