WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 1, "New World Order," now streaming on Disney+.

In Falcon and Winter Soldier's debut episode, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is making amends for his lethal past -- specifically the deaths he caused under Hydra's influence. However, one of his quests leads him to his first date in centuries with Leah (Miki Ishikawa).

For Marvel Cinematic Universe fans hoping to see more screen time with the duo after their botched first date at Izzy's, Ishikawa shared a photo of the pair smiling off-set.

Ishikawa captioned the photo with a hug emoji and the note, "Happy Monday!"

The ill-fated first date happens thanks to Bucky's friend Yori (Ken Takemoto), who asks out Izzy's bartender Leah on Bucky's behalf. Although the date starts well -- for a 106-year-old -- the Winter Soldier abruptly leaves due to Leah asking about Yori. Unbeknownst to her, Bucky befriended Yori out of guilt for killing his son in his prior life as the Winter Soldier. Although it's unclear what kind of relationship Leah and Bucky will have, it's been confirmed that Ishikawa will star in the remaining five episodes in the series.

When asked about what future episodes of the Marvel Studios/Disney+ series will cover, writer Malcolm Spellman confirmed that the show will have "pointed" social commentary. Spellman stated, "This is going to be an extremely relevant show in a lot of ways, and that is not by accident." He added, "The magic of embracing diversity in the writers' room and having an almost all-Black staff allows you to tap into pop culture."

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place six months after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The series will find Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier teaming up to defend Steve Rogers' (Chris Evans) legacy while taking on a variety of bad guys, including Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl). At the end of Episode 1, U.S. Agent arrived to claim Cap's shield, leading Falcon to confront the harsh truth that the U.S. government lied to him when they promised to keep Cap's shield within Rogers' memorial.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. New episodes debut on Fridays on Disney+.
