Though The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has yet to receive an official release date, new merchandise for the series provides a first look at the new costumes Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) will wear during the series. Twitter user @SpinelessOyster posted a picture of the shirts, which come in two colors: black and gray.The black shirt features the clearest look at the costumes yet. Bucky has a blue jacket and cargo pants similar to the outfit he wore in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, but his hair is trimmed and he is clean shaven. Sam sports a new red and white Falcon suit that takes its cues from his original comics costume. In the background, Captain America's shield looms large. The gray shirt features a similar image with the heroes' silhouettes.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will feature Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes protecting the mantle of their friend Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) while dealing with new threats, including the return of Zemo (Daniel Brühl). The series reportedly resumed filming this summer after production shut down in March due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series debuts on Disney+ in fall 2020.
