Marvel Studios has resurrected a small group of dormant Twitter accounts to promote The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, its next original series to premiere on Disney+.It's not uncommon to see various Marvel Twitter accounts share the latest poster or trailers for upcoming projects. However, the Twitter accounts for The Gifted, Agent Carter and Marvel's Inhumans all shared The Falcon and the Winter Soldier trailer that debuted during the Super Bowl.RELATED: Falcon and Winter Soldier: US Agent Defiles Cap's Legacy in New Poster

The text in all three tweets reads, "Are you ready? Watch the brand-new trailer for Marvel Studios' The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and start streaming the Original Series March 19 on @disneyplus. #FalconAndWinterSoldier" Also, the timing between the tweets ranges between four and five minutes. Of course, since all of Marvel's Twitter accounts are more than likely run by the same person/social media department, the repetition in the text and posting times doesn't come as much of a surprise.

Since the newest Falcon and Winter Soldier trailer finally reintroduced Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, it makes sense for the Agent Carter account to share the video. After all, Sharon's great-aunt is Peggy Carter. Plus, the official Captain America Twitter account also shared the trailer and new poster, since Falcon and Winter Soldier deals with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes carrying on Cap's legacy.

As of now, it is unknown why The Gifted and Marvel's Inhumans Twitter accounts joined in the Falcon and Winter Soldier promotion. The most recent tweet from The Gifted came on Jan. 15 when it shared a behind-the-scenes look at WandaVision. Before that, the only tweets were promoting birthdays and new projects to former The Gifted alums in 2019 and October 2020. Marvel's Inhumans Twitter account has seen even less action. It's been over a full year since it was active, as it celebrated the canceled series arriving on Disney+ and Stan Lee's birthday in November and December of 2019.

In comparison, the accounts for other canceled Marvel series such as Cloak & Dagger and Runaways have not shared the Falcon and Winter Soldier trailer. Cloak & Dagger's last tweet is from December 2019, and the last for Runaways was in February 2020. The Twitter accounts for Netflix's canceled shows -- Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and The Punisher also remain inactive. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. shared the first Falcon and Winter Soldier teaser, but has yet to share the full trailer.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities -- and their patience -- in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres March 19 on Disney+.
