A new round of merchandise for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier hints that one of Captain America's allies may be on the wrong side of the law.The Marvel Pop Up Store Twitter account posted pictures of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier merchandise, including notebooks and patches. One of these patches features Sharon Carter, with a stylized "WANTED" stamped across her eyes.
Sharon Carter appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, portrayed by Emily VanCamp. In The Winter Soldier, she first appeared as Steve Rogers' new neighbor before she was revealed as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Agent 13. After S.H.I.E.L.D. was disbanded at the end of the film, Sharon joined the CIA. She would then liberate weapons for Steve and his allies in Civil War.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was originally scheduled to debut this year but production halted in March due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Filming resumed and then wrapped in October.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series debuts on Disney+ in 2021.
