WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 4, "The Whole World Is Watching," now streaming on Disney+.

As The Falcon and the Winter Soldier nears its end, a new trailer was released in anticipation for the final two episodes, and it's clear the tension between John Walker and the titular heroes has gotten worse. While the episodes have been building up to Walker's official turn as an antagonist, Episode 4 finally saw this happen as he took illegal super-soldier serum and brutally murdered an unarmed Flag Smasher in front of civilians. After the world saw this Captain America's true colors, that split between Walker and the heroes couldn't be greater, thus building up to another Civil War style brawl, with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes taking on Walker, similar to how Barnes and Steve Rogers took on Iron Man.

Ever since The Falcon and the Winter Soldier introduced Walker's Captain America, Barnes and Wilson have been opposed to him. After Walker killed an unarmed man, tarnished Captain America's legacy and threatened any progress Wilson hoped to make with Karli Morgenthau, the two have no other choice but to act against Walker, even if the U.S. government doesn't want them to, which seems to be the case.

In the trailer, Wilson says, "We bled for this country. Shield or no shield, I'm not going to let anybody tell me I can't fight for it." It appears the government does not want Falcon to intervene in whatever their plans are. Meanwhile, Walker digs his heels in about being Captain America as he proclaims proudly, "I am Captain America;" although, it's unclear at the time of this writing what the context of this line is.

Like in Civil War, some of the heroes -- Wilson and Barnes -- disagree with the rules in place, so they go against the law to do the right thing. Walker, on the other hand, has yet to relinquish the title despite doing something so unacceptable and immoral. What he believes the role of a hero is greatly differs from what Wilson and Barnes believe, and those differences have lead to this inevitable confrontation.

Similarly, in Civil War some Avengers -- Team Iron Man -- believed they needed to be put in check by the law to ensure the public's safety, while others -- Team Cap -- believed they needed to work as free agents to avoid working for a biased, corrupt or misinformed system. Both camps wanted to protect people, but their views on how heroes should be handled differed, and these different ideals , as well as their personal biases, eventually lead to a violent fight that destroyed the Avengers for some time.

Civil War, while a Captain America moviestill depicted both sides as heroic but with flaws; meanwhile, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is very overtly painting Walker as a bad guy. Regardless, he believes he is a hero, and his unacceptable outburst was driven by a personal tragedy, similar to how Tony Stark's attack against Barnes was as well. This sets up a clash of ideals between Walker and the titular characters, as well as literal confrontation.

The end of the trailer sees Wilson and Barnes meet up with Walker, who's still wearing the uniform and holding the shield. While Wilson tries to approach this peacefully, Walker is defensive and claims, "you don't want to do this." However, Barnes is fed up with the new Captain America and his behavior, proclaiming "yeah, we do."

With only two episodes left, tensions high and Wilson and Barnes deciding to take a stand against the government sanctioned Captain America, fans eagerly await for the fight that's brewing between the three of them. Like in Civil War, Barnes and Wilson are Team Cap, but this time they're fighting for what the original Captain America stood for while taking down what the symbol of Captain America has become.

Created by Malcolm Spellman and directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. New episodes debut on Fridays on Disney+.
