Marvel's highly-anticipated series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is gearing up for its Fall release. As such, Marvel released concept art for several of its characters appearing in the show, including a new costume for Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter.

During Disney+ and Marvel's "Expanding the Universe" special, concept art for Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl) and Sharon Carter were released. Sharon's art can be seen below.

Sharon Carter

Also known as Agent 13, Sharon is a high ranking member of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the comics, even holding the title of Director for a short while. She is Captain America's longtime partner, both romantically and on the battlefield, often aiding him in missions. At one point, Carter even became a member of the Secret Avengers, a secret-ops Avengers team that was loosely adapted for 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.

Her tactical armor in Falcon and The Winter Soldier loosely resembles her S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, co-opting the dark/light contrast and pistol holster look. Emily VanCamp's take on the character first appeared in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and was last seen in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. As a major player in the Captain America comics, her role in the MCU films was originally planned to be much bigger than it was.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell and Daniel Brühl and will be available on Disney+. The series will hit the streaming service in Fall 2020.
