Laxus Dreyar is the grandson of Fairy Tail's master Makarov Dreyar, and Laxus wields the power of thunder and lightning. In fact, he is the Lightning Dragon Slayer, being able to fire powerful electrical attacks at long range or up close, and he has remarkable endurance and martial arts skills. For all his power, though, Laxus pales in comparison to some other powerhouse anime characters, both in his native Fairy Tail and elsewhere. Who can beat Laxus at his own game?
10 Acnologia (Fairy Tail): The Ultimate Dragon Slayer Of The Series
The dragon slayer known as Acnologia is himself a dragon, a man who became a scaly beast after obtaining too much draconic power. By now, Acnologia has overwhelming magical energy and strength that towers over even that of the infamous Spriggan 12.
Acnologia has the speed, physical power, and endurance to face any Fairy Tail character and slaughter them, even the likes of August and God Serena. In his dragon form, he can fly and cast down thousands of destructive stars, and all this makes him much stronger than Laxus Dreyar.
9 Ulquiorra Schiffer (Bleach): A Vasto Lorde Hollow With Overwhelming Powers
Ulquiorra Schiffer may not be as strong as Acnologia, but he is still more powerful than Laxus Dreyar, at least by a narrow margin. Ulquiorra is a Vasto Lorde Hollow that removed its mask and obtained a zanpakuto, and Ulquiorra's powers are simply overwhelming.
His speed is blindingly fast, especially when he performs his released form (enough to take Hollow Mask Ichigo by surprise). He can fly, deliver incredibly strong kicks, throw ultra-destructive lightning spears, and fire the dreaded Cero Oscuras to obliterate the entire battlfield. He can also rapidly regenerate his body, something Laxus certainly can't do.
8 Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto): Unmatched Agility & The Power Of His Eyes
Sasuke Uchiha may not be quite as tough as Laxus, who is noted for his extreme endurance, but Sasuke makes up for this in other ways. He is still highly capable of melee combat, and he is more agile and crafty than Laxus is, making him a tough target to hit. What's better than armor? Not getting hit at all.
And there's more. Sasuke wields advanced forms of the Sharingan Eye, allowing him to perform devastating jutsu and read (and avoid) his enemy's attacks. Sasuke can perform the Chidori at close range, use an electric sword, or hit his opponents from afar with an extended Chidori lance. And don't forget the Rinnegan Eye, either, which he obtained later on.
7 All For One (My Hero Academia): A One-Man Army With Many Quirks To Utilize
The supervillain known as All For One named himself after his remarkable Quirk, the ability to move Quirks to and from people at will (including himself). He is much older than he looks, and he has stolen hundreds of diverse Quirks and collected them in his body, including power-augmentation Quirks.
Now, All For One is a walking supervillain army in one body, and he can challenge the world's top hero, All Might himself, and very nearly win. Given that, and the massive array of abilities at his command, All For One is definitely stronger than Laxus is.
6 Escanor (The Seven Deadly Sins): With Maximum Power When The Sun Hits Noon
The mightiest man in the world is none other than Escanor, and he is the lion sin of pride. But he's not vainly arrogant; he can back up his prideful words with jaw-dropping feats of strength and magic when he faces a worthy opponent. Even the Ten Commandments are wary of his abilities.
Escanor keeps getting stronger as the sun rises, and he can wield a one-ton battle-ax called Rhitta (not even the villains can pick it up). When the sun hits noon, Escanor's power is at the max, and he becomes almost literally invincible, able to swing Rhitta and blast apart the terrain (and his foes) for miles around. Laxus can't compare to that.
5 Rimuru Tempest (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime): Has A Vast Variety Of Different Skills
In some ways, the blue slime known as Rimuru Tempest is like All For One, except he is an isekai hero, not a scheming supervillain. Like All For One, Rimuru has a vast collection of diverse powers at his fingertips, but he uses these powers for the good of others. He wants to build an inclusive kingdom where all races can live in peace.
Rimuru can shapeshift into all kinds of beings, regenerate flesh with ease, use telepathy, devour his enemies via the Predator skill, assess his enemies from afar, conjure devastating black flames and lightning, fire pressurized water blades, and even make steely spider webs, all backed up by an enormous store of magic in his body.
4 Avatar Aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender): When He Enters The Avatar State
Ordinarily, avatar Aang is actually weaker than Laxus, since he lacks Laxus' remarkable endurance and martial arts skills. And he's not quick like a lightning bolt, the way Laxus is. However, Aang is more creative and witty in battle than Laxus is, and he bends the four elements, giving him an edge. He's a prodigy bender, even at age 12.
When Aang enters the avatar state, he surpasses Laxus for real. His quad-element bending becomes many times stronger, and he was powerful enough to vanquish Fire Lord Ozai with ease. He can also bend his energy or that of his opponent to overwhelm them, a unique that no one, not even Laxus Dreyar, can match.
3 Captain Whitebeard (One Piece): The Strongest Man Of His Universe
Until his death at the hands of the Blackbeard Pirates, Captain Whitebeard was renowned as the world's strongest man, his universe's equal to Escanor. Whitebeard was unusually large and durable for a human, and his bodily strength was off the charts. If that weren't enough, he had the leadership skills and charisma to command a formidable pirate fleet.
Then there's his devil fruit, the Tremor-Tremor fruit. With it, Whitebeard can shake up the earth and crack icebergs or the very air from afar, blasting them apart with impunity. His strength is great enough to take on an entire Marine fleet and nearly destroy it, warranting the full attention of the three admirals and their many officers.
2 Lord Boros (One-Punch Man): Held Up Well Against Someone As Massively Powerful As Saitama
Lord Boros' power is literally inhuman. He is an alien warlord from outer space, and he was his realm's equal to Saitama; that is, he was too strong for his own good. He grew weary of having no serious competition, so he wandered the stars to find a worthy opponent. He found one in Saitama.
Although Boros lost to Saitama in the end, his ability to knock the Caped Baldy to the moon and endure multiple punches from the One-Punch Man himself is truly astonishing. If he can survive that long against Saitama himself, he's clearly much stronger than Laxus. And like Ulquiorra and Rimuru, he can rapidly regenerate his wounds.
1 Reiner Braun (Attack On Titan): In His Armored Titan Form
As an ordinary man, Reiner Braun (a warrior of Marley) can't possibly hope to outclass Laxus Dreyar. But he is more than that; when he wills it, he can morph into the terrifying Armored Titan, a towering juggernaut of destruction and carnage.
The Armored Titan is clad in extremely durable armor plates, as the name suggests, and Reiner can use this body to smash through massive stone walls and demolish anything in his way. His size, endurance, strength and technique make him a mightier warrior than Laxus for sure.
