Frosch, one of the weakest characters in the Fairy Tail anime, is an Exceed companion who loves  Sabertooth Rogue ferociously. Exceeds are a race of cat-like beings, in this case, this adorable one dresses up as a pink frog. In terms of its appearance, Frosch is quite small, a cross between human and cat, wears a pink frog costume with beady eyes that sit on top. The word Frosch in German means frog.

Frosch's prominent features are its big round eyes and rosy cheeks. Besides possessing the ability to stand on its own legs, Frosch keeps referring to itself in the third person. In Fairy Tail, Frosch is the baby that Rogue must protect, come what may.

10 UNOPINIONATED

It is one thing to not to have an opinion on things, but Frosch is absolutely unopinionated. This happy-go-lucky cat will always agree with what the other person has to say.

Frosch's lack of opinion of things goes to an extent where it: a. Listens to random strangers b. regardless of how good or bad, these strangers may be.

9 REDUNDANCY

Another one of Frosch's habits is the regular practice of redundancy. You will always hear Frosch ask stupid questions that easily irritate and upset others. The rhetorical questions asked by Frosch are pointless and people don't always know how to respond to them with obvious answers.

Frosch has on numerous occasions been scolded by Lector and many others for the same. This is attributable again to Frosch being a simpleton, who 'thinks' it is a cat rather than knowing it.

8 ROGUE MUST PROTECT FROSCH AT ALL COSTS

Frosch is Rogue's Exceed and he treats it like a baby that must be protected at all costs, from whatever comes their way. Since Frosch is one of the weakest in Fairy Tail and can barely defend itself, the responsibility naturally falls on Rogue. It's more about Rogue's love for Frosch than his responsibility.

In "Rebellion within Sabertooth", an event that takes place in Sabertooth Lodgings, Rogue happens to have an altercation with Jiemma (a Sabertooth resident). Rogue and Jiemma argue over why the former lost with Natsu Dragneel, a Dragon Slayer. In a violent argument that ensues, Rogue immediately protects his Frosch, thinking it might be the target of Jiemma's attack. That's the level of protectiveness that Rogue ensures for Frosch.

7 FROSCH THOUGHT HE WAS A FROG

Poor Frosch grew up thinking it was a frog. It may be due to Frosch's green, toad-like skin color. Coincidentally, the name Frosch means frog in German.

Upon discovering that it wasn't a frog but an anthropomorphic cat, Frosch cried for three days straight. That is precisely why Frosch wears a pink frog costume every single day, to appeal to its misplaced sense of identity as a frog.

6 FROSCH'S ONLY ABILITY IS FLYING

Frosch doesn't possess any special skills or talents, aside from sprouting angelic wings and flying. Hence, Rogue is always concerned about Frosch and its safety. The fact remains that Frosch is the weakest in Fairy Tail, on account of many things.

Some of Frosch's gray areas are: not being able to think for itself, always seeking Rogue's assistance, not knowing the world outside of Sabertooth Lodgings, etc. The poor cat is unique, for it can fly but has ended up getting lost on the tracks, many many times.

5 FROSCH ONCE SLEEPWALKED TO FAIRY TAIL

Frosch, the simpleton, loses its way home while on a shopping trip in Magnolia Town. Confused and scared, it begins to seek directions from a map. As Frosch gets distracted easily, sometimes by an insect, other times by a butterfly, it eventually loses its way and starts to cry.

Determined that it would make its way back to Sabertooth, Frosch then lands onto a guild member Ezra Scarlet and asks her directions. As the night falls, Frosch sleepwalks its way back to Sabertooth lodge, only to realize that it has arrived at Fairy Tail.

4 FEAR OF EX-COMMUNICATION

One of Frosch's biggest fears is that of ex-communication. It has faced this fear once when resident Yukino Agria left Sabertooth. Frosch and Yukino were very close to one another. Frosch was particularly fond of her, therefore her departure affects Frosch badly.

The biggest of Frosch's fears is ex-communication from Rogue, whom he loves very much. These fears aren't mirrored by Rogue as he thinks he wouldn't ever leave Frosch's side.

3 FROSCH SAVES ROGUE FROM GAJEEL

Frosch, on numerous occasions, has tried to, in its own way, save Rogue from his enemies in Sabertooth lodge, such as Gajeel and Jeimma. Frosch's meek body doesn't deter it from going out of its way to fiercely protect the ones it loves.

In Rogue's battle with Gajeel Redfox, Frosch ran to protect him, planning to make the Shadow leave Rogue's body. If the cat hadn't done that, Rogue would have died at Gajeel's hands. It is not only Rogue who has saved Frosch, but that Frosch has saved his life too.

2 FROSCH LOVES LECTOR

Lector's death left Frosch in a state of total shock, as they were the best of buddies. Lector, also an anthropomorphic cat was always seen in Frosch's company. The two would always be together, so it's obvious that Lector's death would leave a deep hole in Frosch's heart.

Frosch was saddened when Lector was killed at Jiemma's hands. When the Grand Magic Games day arrived at Sabretooth, Frosch was visibly miserable from Lector's absence, morning its loss in silence.

1 FROSCH IS THE WEAKEST IN FAIRY TAIL

Amongst all the weakest characters in Fairy Tail, Frosch outdoes the competition. Of all the week characters such as Cancer, Happy, Ichia, and Cana, the Exceed partner of Sabertooth Rogue ranks at the top.

No one appears as visibly weak as Frosch does. The fact that it doesn't take any special efforts to conceal its vulnerabilities, makes it weaker in appearance than it may actually be. Although, Frosch wouldn't think twice before giving its life for Rogue, showing the world that it is a resilient fellow. Frosch's weakness is more physiological than psychological.
