The live-action reboot of The Fairly OddParents is slated to premiere on Paramount+ before the first quarter of 2022 is through.

In a post to Instagram, Christopher J. Nowak -- showrunner and co-executive producer of Paramount+'s live-action Fairly OddParents series -- announced the reboot's official premiere window, revealing that it is currently slated to arrive in March 2022.

"These people," Nowak wrote, referring to The Fairly OddParents' cast and crew. "I have never experienced a cast, crew and writers room come together like this before. This season has been an absolute joy. We caught lightning in a bottle here. Can't wait for you all to see it in March on [Paramount+]. Special shoutout to [co-executive producer Samantha Martin], without whom this show would not be what it is. I will be forever grateful to her."

Created by Butch Hartman, The Fairly OddParents initially debuted as a pilot produced for Nickelodeon's Oh Yeah! Cartoons showcase series in 1998. The cartoon was ultimately turned into a full animated series, and would go on to run for a total of 10 seasons from 2001 to 2017. The show follows the adventures of Timmy Turner, a 10-year-old boy who is assigned two Fairy Godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, who grant his every wish.

For the vast majority of its original run, The Fairly OddParents aired on Nickelodeon, though the show ultimately moved to Nicktoons for the final stretch of its 10th and final season. The animated series also spawned a trilogy of live-action television films, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2011 to 2014.

This past February, it was announced that Paramount+ was developing a live-action series based on The Fairly OddParents, produced by Hartman and his original Fairly OddParents co-executive producer Fred Seibert. The aforementioned Nowak and Martin are executive producing the reboot alongside Mike Caron. The new show reportedly entered production back in June.

Set years after the events of the original animated series, the live-action Fairly OddParents reboot rejoins Cosmo and Wanda, who have now been assigned to Timmy's cousin, Vivian "Viv" Turner, and her new stepbrother, Roy Ragland. The series stars Audrey Grace Marshall as Viv, Tyler Wladis as Roy, Imogen Cohen as Zina Zacarias, Laura Bell Bundy as Rachel Ragland and Ryan-James Hatanaka as Ty Turner. Additionally, Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee reprise their roles as the voices of Cosmo and Wanda, respectively.

Of course, this isn't the first time Paramount+ has rebooted a fan-favorite Nickelodeon show. Back in June, the streaming platform premiered iCarly, an adult-oriented live-action sitcom that serves as a follow-up to the teen-oriented show of the same name that ran on Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2012. Paramount+ has also been home to an animated reboot of the Rugrats, as well as the SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff series Kamp Koral. A live-action Dora the Explorer series was announced at the same time as the live-action Fairly OddParents reboot, though details on the former have been scarce ever since.
